The Manager - Copy will manage the workflow and quality of copy in all channels. This Team Member is responsible for the evolution and integrity of the brand voice. This individual will collaborate with design counterparts to understand product positioning and selling strategies. The Manager - Copy is also responsible for developing seasonal creative concepts.

Major Activities

  • Manage the Copy Team in implementing copy that is fresh and customer-centric
  • Review and approve copy
  • Innovate copy, content, form, and format
  • Mentor and develop the Writing Team
  • Evolve and protect the brand voice
  • Execute the brand voice in alignment with the company vision
  • Research creative trends in competitive markets and apply that knowledge and learning to development of new marketing projects
  • Attend meetings to gather information and priorities effective copy development
  • Represent copy in ideation meeting and reviews
  • Present work to management and internal clients

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Advertising or Journalism

Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills

  • Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Minimum Type of experience the job requires

  • 10 plus years copywriting, 1-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Brand implementation support experience required

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Able to juggle multiple projects while meeting demanding deadlines, producing high quality work and projecting a positive attitude
  • Manage internal deadlines and release dates

Preferred Special Certifications or technical skills

  • Working knowledge of InDesign preferred

Working knowledge of InDesign preferred

  • Prefer some retail copywriting experience
