The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Contracts within the Medium Range Air Defense (MRAD) program area. This candidate will play an integral role as a member of the program team, focusing on contract proposal, negotiation, execution and closeout. The portfolio is comprised of Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) for the production, integration, technical assistance, and sustainment of the NASAMS® system and Sentinel® radar.
In this role, you will be responsible for customer communication, contract management, change management, coordination of invoicing, and fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. You will need to utilize regular application of thorough business acumen and subject matter expertise to understand program performance requirements, provide guidance, and influence results in support of program and financial objectives. Additionally, the Manager, Contracts is required to work closely with Program Management leadership, the Office of General Counsel, and cross-functional peers in support of program gate reviews, program management reviews, business strategy sessions, proposal reviews, risk management activities, and all other contractual related matters affecting the portfolio.

What You Will Do
Serve as the Contracts Lead during the pre-proposal strategy, proposal development, negotiation, and start-up phases of programs
Analyze Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts execution, and contract administration
Work closely within cross-functional teams to construct, submit, and negotiate terms and conditions and pricing proposals
Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual and program risks
Establish and enhance effective working relationships with customers and internal partners, to include Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive closure on complex contractual issues and achieve business results
Demonstrate business acumen and provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies
Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope
Effectively communicate with senior leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Experience with one or more of the following: Contracts Management or Administration, Program Management, Supply Chain Management, or Finance
Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and/or the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)

Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with customers and internal partners based on understanding, teamwork, and trust
Professional, effective written and verbal communication skills to interface with all levels of internal and external customers; thorough analytical skills; excellent interpersonal skills; adaptability to a variety of business situations
Experience working in a dynamic environment with the ability to multi-task across multiple programs; a demonstrated record of responsiveness with excellent time management and organization skills
Experience in the development of proposals and negotiations
Juris Doctor or MBA a plus

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
