ROLE SUMMARY
The Manager, Content Engine is an experienced, strategic, and dynamic manager to support our Integrated Media & Engagement team in establishing the growing role of content marketing in driving return on investment for our brands. This role is pivotal in supporting the development of content that drives impactful results across above‑brand and brand‑integrated channels.
The Manager will sit within our Influencer and Content Marketing Team: A team within our Chief Marketing Office that builds and advances capabilities in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) Driven Content Marketing, Influencer Marketing, and Social Listening/Intelligence.
This role will work with cross-functional teams to develop the content our audiences are seeking, across the platforms and formats in which they will most likely engage, and supporting the production of content across channels, leveraging the resources of our Agency of Record or internal teams. The role will support in building out this new capability for the organization, providing feedback that enables improvements to the end-to-end process, and identifying opportunities for the use of technology/systems and tools.
This role contributes specialized expertise in content creation (including copywriting and copyediting), production workflows, and content quality governance. This position requires a proactive mindset, strong creative skills, and comprehensive knowledge of how content can compliantly enhance our brand's presence in a competitive market.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Senior Manager, Content Engine Lead in building a first of its kind Center of Excellence dedicated to content that drives SEO, GEO, and social search.
Support the creation of high-quality content by either an in-house team or external partners that enriches storytelling and drives engagement across various organic, search-driven platforms. Ensure all content is accurate, compliant, on-brand, compelling, consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice.
Support the end-to-end production of content where our Agency of Record (AOR) isn’t resourced to support our brands with agile, quick turn opportunistic content.
Help maintain a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of content and campaigns on above-brand sites like PfizerForAll.com or for brands across the portfolio.
Help maintain the Content Style Guide, and implement editorial and quality control mechanisms to ensure consistent tone, voice, and quality across all content.
Partner with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory reviewers to ensure all content meets Pfizer and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with technical teams and SEO/GEO specialists to ensure best practices are embedded in content creation and distribution processes.
Utilize analytics tools to measure content effectiveness, derive insights, and adjust strategies to improve reach, engagement, and conversions.
Stay informed of industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies to keep our content strategies culturally relevant and ahead of the curve.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience; OR a master’s with 2+ years of experience; OR a PhD
Successful track record supporting high-impact content campaigns from conception through execution in regulated or highly matrixed environments
Strong project management and written communication skills supporting multifaceted campaigns and initiatives
Experience in Paid/Owned/Earned ecosystems, including Web, Social, and/or CRM content
Skilled at communicating compelling narratives and campaign visions
Mastery in staying compliant with the complex legal and regulatory guidelines surrounding branded content
Strong relationship building skills and ability to navigate matrixed organizations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of relevant experience.
