Job Description:
Client Operations plays a critical role in managing operational risk, yield, analytics, financial operations, and compliance. The Manager, Compliance role supports the execution of governance frameworks, compliance initiatives, and operational processes that underpin sustainable and compliant revenue growth across the United States and Canada.
The Manager, Compliance will support the execution of commercial compliance and governance initiatives across North America. This role is responsible for ensuring trading activities are properly documented, compliant with internal and external requirements, and operationally sound.
Working closely with Commercial, Client, Finance, Legal, and Accounting teams, the Manager will help maintain audit readiness, strengthen operational processes, and ensure adherence to dentsu’s trading principles and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
· Support the implementation and ongoing management of compliance frameworks across NA trading activities, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external requirements (e.g., JSOX, ANA Transparency, contractual obligations).
· Partner with Commercial Partnerships and Client teams to ensure all required documentation (contracts, deal terms, communications) is completed, accurate, and properly stored prior to campaign activation.
· Maintain organized, auditable records of all trading-related documentation, ensuring accessibility for audits and internal reviews.
· Assist in audit processes by coordinating sample collection, documentation, and responses to internal and external audit requests (e.g., income compliance, financial audits, statutory audits).
· Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of systems and processes to strengthen governance, compliance, and revenue integrity.
· Collaborate with Revenue Accounting, Commercial Finance, and Legal teams to ensure proper revenue treatment and compliance with financial and contractual requirements.
· Provide operational support in reviewing new and existing trading models to ensure appropriate controls, documentation, and compliance measures are in place.
· Monitor media income activity and flag potential risks, inconsistencies, or compliance gaps to senior leadership.
· Assist in maintaining risk registers and tracking remediation plans across supply-side commercial activities.
· Support governance forums (e.g., compliance boards, investment reviews) by preparing materials, tracking actions, and ensuring follow-ups are completed.
· Partner with global and regional teams on broader commercial operations and risk management initiatives as needed.
· Responsibilities are not limited to those outlined above and may evolve in response to changing business needs, market conditions, and organizational priorities.
Key Accountabilities
· Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation supporting all trading activities.
· Maintain audit-ready records and support timely, high-quality audit responses.
· Track and report on compliance activities, risks, and remediation progress.
· Support consistent application of processes and controls across markets.
· Contribute to continuous improvement of operational workflows and compliance frameworks.
Technical Requirements
· Experience supporting compliance, operations, finance, or audit-related functions within media, advertising, or a related industry.
· Understanding of media trading models, including traditional and programmatic environments (preferred).
· Familiarity with financial controls, audit processes, and documentation requirements.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and process management.
· Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Proficiency in English (required).

Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.
The annual salary range for this position is $59,000-$80,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
