Who are we hiring? 

The Manager Communications plays a key role in developing and coordinating public relations activities in support of entertainment initiatives across the Live and Productions divisions, as well as the company’s broader corporate communications priorities. Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications, this role manages select projects independently while supporting the broader PR team on high-impact initiatives that span the organization and involve senior leadership. In addition, the role supports broader Live initiatives by coordinating onsite press operations at concerts and events, pitching artist-related content, managing trade media interviews, and localizing concert announcements. 

What will you do? 

  • Serve as the day-to-day PR lead for the Live division, supporting family shows, concerts, and special events. 
  • Draft press releases and collaborate with Booking and Marketing teams to announce live events across the Company’s venues. 
  • Develop and execute PR plans for key family shows and Live initiatives, including pitching media interviews, creating PR events, and securing local and national media coverage to drive ticket sales. 
  • Support the development of materials for senior leadership, including awards submissions, interview briefing documents, and announcements for new hires and promotions. 
  • Assist with corporate communications initiatives, including projects related to government affairs, legal, and Garden of Dreams Foundation, while supporting ongoing public relations strategy and execution. 
  • Coordinate onsite press operations for concerts and special events, including managing photographers, overseeing red carpet activities, and facilitating interviews and photo opportunities in high-profile settings. 
  • Support communications efforts for the Global Partnerships team within the Live division. 
  • Represent MSGE PR in production and planning meetings for Productions, Live events, and Garden of Dreams Foundation initiatives. 
  • Track, compile, and maintain measurable metrics related to PR campaigns and media coverage across various projects. 

 What do you need to succeed? 

  • 5+ years public relations and media experience particularly in entertainment  
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field. 
  • Creative and strategic thinker with exceptional independent thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to juggle multiple responsibilities without jeopardizing deadlines 
  • Experience in writing press releases and pitches, and in developing and executing PR plans 
  • Ability to work with and collaborate with groups across the department and company 
  • Ability to execute initiatives with excellent follow-through and experience in leading projects as well as working with a team   
  • High level of energy, commitment and creativity 
  • Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information 
  • Knowledge of entertainment environment and comfortable working with talent and senior level executives 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  

 Special Requirements  

  • Ability to work late nights, weekends and holidays 
  • Occasional travel (i.e. Chicago Theatre)

Pay Range
$83,000$110,000 USD
