Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Collateral Management, to oversee daily operations within AIMCo’s collateral management team. This position will be responsible for overseeing the calculations, processing and management of margin requirements for trading strategies across AIMCo. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience in collateral management, a strong understanding of derivatives, and financial operations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Leadership & Oversight
- Support a team of collateral analysts, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Oversee daily margin calls, collateral settlements, optimization and dispute resolution processes.
- Approving collateral transactions.
- Supporting management for other operational areas and assisting with the release of payments across the organization as needed.
- Risk Management & Controls
- Ensure accurate and timely collateral movements to mitigate credit and liquidity risk.
- Monitor exposure and margin requirements across multiple asset classes and counterparties and report to internal stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex disputes and operational issues with counterparties.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong relationships.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global regulatory requirements and support operational adherence.
- Support audits and regulatory reporting requirements related to collateral management.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or another related field
- 5-7 years of experience working in Collateral Management or derivatives role.
- Advanced knowledge of global regulatory frameworks impacting collateral management.
- Enrollment in the CFA program would be an asset
- Comfortable leveraging tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, VBA and SQL
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
