About the role
We are currently looking for a Manager – Civil & Structure who will be responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight of all civil and structural works to ensure safe, compliant, and timely execution in accordance with approved designs, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review all civil and structural design documents including tender drawings, GFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, geotechnical reports, design calculations, and construction methodology to ensure completeness and constructability.
- Establish a clear understanding of project scope, design intent, contractual obligations, and execution constraints related to civil and structural works.
- Review and provide inputs during project planning stages on civil and structural sequencing, work packaging, constructability, and interface management.
- Support procurement activities by defining civil and structural work packages, reviewing technical submissions, method statements, shop drawings, and material data sheets submitted by contractors and vendors.
- Evaluate and recommend approval of construction methodologies for excavation, shoring, foundations, concrete works, steel works, waterproofing, and finishing activities.
- Oversee site execution of all civil and structural works including earthworks, piling, foundations, RCC, structural steel, masonry, finishing works, and external development. Ensure that all construction activities are executed strictly in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and quality requirements.
- Supervise and monitor contractor performance, manpower deployment, equipment utilization, and productivity related to civil and structural works. Review and validate Inspection Requests (IRs), Method Statements, Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), test reports, and material approvals prior to execution.
- Coordinate with the Lead Architect, Engineer of Record, and other design consultants to resolve design discrepancies, missing details, and technical clarifications.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Registration with a professional architectural body is preferred.
- Minimum 12–15 years of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering, with significant exposure to construction supervision, PMC, or consultancy roles.
- Proven experience in managing civil and structural works for medium to large-scale building projects such as academic, institutional, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
- Experience in handling projects involving RCC structures, foundations, steel structures, finishing works, and external development works.
