Manager, Channel Management

Location: Hybrid schedule in Smyrna/Nashville

PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION

The Manager, Channel Management, will be assigned to North and Latin American Device Protection accounts and will own driving the overall profitability, operational strategy, and customer experience of supply chain aspects of associated programs.

This role requires a strong sense of ownership as the candidate will be entrusted to take an innovative approach in making strategic business decisions and solving complex problems that will have a direct impact on the financial health of the business.

Responsibilities include monitoring and inspecting program performance, using financial and operational data to size options and making business recommendations, communicating both positive and negative updates to various levels across the organization, prioritizing work across teams, and pushing the broader supply chain team for full potential on financial and operational performance. 

A successful candidate must be a self-starter, possess strong financial, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, and be able to work cross-functionally with Asurion supply chain and product stakeholders. The ability to prioritize quickly based on estimated financial impacts is key, as is a strong sense of curiosity and ability to craft a story to senior leadership on a recurring basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Program Decision Making

  • Build financial models in Excel and use the data to make recommendations to the business to optimize value or improve performance.
  • Be able to tie program economics to KPIs to understand financial impacts from changes, to guide decisions for maximizing profitability.

Performance Tracking and Monitoring

  • Define, monitor, and explain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and work with teams across supply chain to ensure there is appropriate ownership and monitoring for these metrics. Consistently evaluate KPIs to ensure the most impactful metrics are being prioritized accordingly.
  • Understand and document supply chain processes and guiding principles.  This will help identify process gaps, standardization opportunities, and initiative saving opportunities.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to be able to identify and implement process changes that drive improvements and Operational efficiencies. 

Program Communication

  • Effectively communicate complex financial and operational analyses with a focus on recommended actions to senior leadership within and outside of Asurion supply chain.
  • Work with supply chain team and finance to coordinate the flow of information and consolidate data necessary for the preparation of required weekly and monthly dashboards and presentations.
  • Possess ability to lead meetings regarding complex program, product, and operational nuances and be able to distill content into actionable next steps to drive efficiencies. 

Issue Management

  • Identify root causes of issues and hold the supply chain team accountable to fix processes in sustainable ways.
  • Determine when issues warrant escalation to drive resolution (e.g., systematic or operational issues requiring immediate prioritization or focus), escalate to leadership as appropriate, and communicate resolution progress to stakeholders.

Project Management

  • Solicit ideas for initiatives and projects from business partners and stakeholders that could drive financial benefit.
  • Hold team members accountable for pulling together project plan timelines and deliverables.

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Skills/Knowledge: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, Project Management, Operations, or Supply Chain required.  In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, candidates must have 6+ years of relevant professional experience and demonstrate cross-functional experience that shows the ability to create and analyze financial information, develop business recommendations, and implement strategies across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with financial modeling in Excel, particularly within an operations FP&A environment.
  • Strong aptitude for learning and working with business systems and tools.
  • Experience performing financial scenario and what-if analyses using large, complex data sets to support decision-making.
  • Ability to create and teach others to build reports, dashboards, and financial records.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and organize data to help frame problems and possible solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial and operational information to all levels of management and across multiple disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo, ask thoughtful and tough questions in group settings, and continuously identify opportunities to improve processes.
  • Self-directed with a strong ability to manage ambiguity and readily adapt to changing priorities and business conditions.
  • Ability to excel in an open, flexible, result-oriented, performance-driven environment.
  • Ability to maintain multiple, overlapping deadlines and deliver work in a timely manner.
  • This role is primarily based in the Nashville area.  A local candidate is strongly preferred.
