Position Summary
To lead and strengthen Samsung’s partnership with key Modern Trade (MT) customers, driving both sell-in and sell-out growth to secure market leadership in Thailand’s Consumer Electronics category. This role serves as the strategic bridge between Samsung and our top retail partners, ensuring joint business planning, portfolio alignment, and execution excellence that supports long-term, sustainable business performance.
Role and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Partnership Management
- Lead end-to-end partnership with key MT accounts, aligning joint strategies that drive both Samsung and customer business objectives.
- Build deep and trusted relationships with senior-level stakeholders to influence future demand creation and strategic planning.
- Lead annual Joint Business Plan (JBP) discussions, ensuring clear commitment on volume, share, and promotional roadmap.
2. Business Growth and Sales Performance
- Drive sell-in and sell-out performance in line with company targets and market opportunities.
- Oversee full commercial performance across assigned accounts, including pricing, profitability, and mix optimization.
- Identify growth levers within each customer’s ecosystem, including category expansion, premium mix, and new product penetration.
3. Demand and Promotion Planning
- Partner with marketing and retail teams to co-create effective promotion and activation plans tailored to customer needs and market seasonality.
- Monitor sales trends and consumer demand to proactively recommend adjustments in product strategy and promotional focus.
- Ensure stock health and allocation efficiency by collaborating closely with SCM and channel marketing teams.
4. Market Insight and Competitive Tracking
- Track category performance, market share, and consumer insights to anticipate trends and competitor movements.
- Provide actionable business intelligence to internal stakeholders to guide future strategies and negotiation positioning.
- Evaluate post-campaign results to improve efficiency and ROI of trade investments.
5. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead cross-functional coordination between Marketing, SCM, Retail, and Online teams to ensure execution excellence across all touchpoints.
- Drive alignment on pricing, supply, and campaign strategy to ensure a seamless consumer experience.
- Mentor and support subordinate sales managers to strengthen account management capability and pipeline readiness.
6. Business Governance and Reporting
- Maintain clear reporting on sales forecasts, revenue performance, and customer profitability.
- Ensure business decisions and commercial proposals comply with corporate guidelines and financial controls.
- Provide regular updates and strategic insights to senior management to guide decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Modern Trade account management or strategic sales within Consumer Electronics, FMCG, or durable goods industries.
- Proven track record of leading large retail accounts or partnerships with major Thai retailers.
- Strong negotiation, relationship management, and business planning skills.
- High strategic acumen with a commercial mindset and ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with business analytics or sales performance tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Thai and English.
