Why this role matters
The Salvation Army (Salvos) provides a wide range of services that support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer accommodation, counselling, support, behavioural programs, and advice to women and children at risk of, experiencing or escaping family violence. Our services focus on prevention, restoration, and healing to provide specialised support to address immediate safety issues and provide advice, referrals, and connection to assist the recovery journey.
About the role
As a Manager – Case Management Support Services, this is your opportunity to provide operational oversight of specialist family violence case management services across the North-West area, and leading risk management across internal practices, policies and guidelines, including case management frameworks and interventions.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, this is a full-time role and contracted until June 2027, located in Sunshine, VIC.
How you will make an impact
Oversee the delivery of inclusive, accessible and responsive services, ensuring alignment with national, state and local operational plans, funding requirements, contractual guidelines and service standards, including risk management, client complaints and continuous quality improvement.
Lead workforce management and development, including recruitment, supervision of team leaders, rostering, training and professional development, performance management, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring health and safety for staff and service users.
Manage all operational aspects of programs, including budgets, finances, assets, facilities, practice oversight and program-specific systems and processes, reviewing and improving them regularly to meet service outcomes.
Drive strategic service planning and development by embedding national practice frameworks, collecting and analysing data, responding to service gaps or trends, implementing new or enhanced services, supporting business development and ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.
Build and maintain collaborative internal and external partnerships, develop referral pathways, represent The Salvation Army at forums, engage with sector bodies and participate actively in Area Leadership Teams and other relevant strategic initiatives.
What you will bring
A Tertiary qualification in social work and/or related field and demonstrated experience
Experience in implementing strategy, risk management and human resources
A current VIC employee Working with Children’s check

Conditions
Compensation is in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 7, plus an over-award component.
