As a Telemetry Nurse, you’ll be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team that plays a critical role in monitoring and managing patients with cardiac conditions. You’ll use advanced telemetry technology to detect rhythm changes and intervene swiftly making a real difference in patient outcomes every day.
What You Will Do:
Oversees the work of the Cardiac Monitoring and Arrhythmia Center, which includes the oversight of all monitor tech functions for the Luce Heart Institute building as well as EKG services and Holter/Event monitor services. Works collaboratively between the departments of cardiology, internal medicine, family practice, and emergency medicine to coordinate a seamless care path for the patient with congestive heart failure and arrhythmias and other cardiovascular diagnoses. Oversees the Tracemaster System, which is the system-wide EKG database. Liaison between MCCG and other hospitals/physicians for chest pain referrals/transfer process and coordinated effort to care for congestive heart failure patients. Assures the provision of quality, productive, cost-efficient care. Serves on GHC Leadership Council. Responsible for human resource management functions for personnel: hiring, firing, counseling. Assists Director with budgeting and resource utilization.
