Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), is seeking a full-time experienced Capture Manager 3 to join our Sector Capture Excellence team. This position can be located in various locations within the continental United States, but preferably near a major NGDS site, such as Huntsville, AL, McLean, VA or Roy, UT; Clearfield, UT; Plymouth, MN; Northridge, CA; Manhattan Beach, CA; Rocket Center, WV; Elkton, MD; Mesa, AZ; Redondo Beach, CA; Beaver Creek, OH; Colorado Springs, CO; Bellevue, NE; and Warner Robins, GA
Position reports to Director of Sector Capture & Proposal Excellence. Supports Sector and Division level capture managers in efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business. Maintains on-going interaction and supports tasking from Corporate Global Business Development Organization (CGBDO). Supports Capture Managers in developing capture strategy including business solutions for pursuit of opportunities; identifies potential customers, performs competitive assessments, assists in identifying teaming suppliers, and develops price-to-win assessments. Provides Independent Capture Assessment (ICA) reviews of priority captures. Provides Capture training throughout the sector. Advisor and mentor to Division Capture Managers. Develops and presents briefings to internal as well as external customers. Provides guidance to Division Capture Managers on capture processes, organizational goals and company policy. Advanced level of understanding in a specialized field or general understanding of several diverse disciplines is a plus.
As a Sector level Capture Manager, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the Division Capture Managers to ensure adherence to Business Acquisition Process, capture approach, team staffing, and roles and responsibilities
- Develop efficient and effective capture execution plans in response to complex solicitations from U.S. Government and other customers
- Lead collaborative, engaged teams to develop, review, and submit proposals that effectively represent our strategy and baseline while eliminating non-compliances and limiting weaknesses
- Responsible for mentoring, coaching, and training a capture teams across the sector
- Team player with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to present concepts and recommendations to all levels within the organization.
Basic Qualifications
- 8 years of capture/proposal experience; Master's and 6 years of experience
- Capture Manager experience leading competitive proposals of $250M in value or greater
- At least 4 years of experience leading competitive captures or a company priority win pursuit
- Current or prior experience working U.S. Government’s acquisition process including federal procurement regulations (FAR/DFAR)
- Experience with regulatory compliance with a keen attention to detail
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of Capture Manager experience leading sole source/competitive proposals of $500M+ in value or greater for U.S. Government customers
- At least 2 years leading a team of direct reports or leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
- Experience with Department of Defense and Department of Energy related customers and proposals
- Active TS security clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $289,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
