POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary objective of this position created at this stage of the project is to ensure all design drawings as well as as-built drawings and CADD data filed are properly stored and managed to ensure smooth transfer of relevant Project Information to the Facility Management team.
Deliver a cost effective solution to manage project drawing and as-built data.
Provide an overall management of project drawing, as-built data submissions, softcopy management and quality control for the project.
Ensure all different types of project drawings and deliverables are able to meet both the Design standards and CADD standards.
Act as the principal point of contract regarding any CADD production related to project works.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scope of Responsibilities:
CADD drawings are Computer Aid Drafting and Design Products, which are the most important and form the largest quantity of communication documents used by all design and construction parties and disciplines throughout all stages of the construction project. The Manager needs to direct the external and internal CADD production teams to follow the established CADD standard; to stick to timely project schedules with cost effective production by maximizing sharing of design information; ensuring CADD deliverables comply with CADD standard and project requirements.
The CADD Manager post to be created at this stage is required to focus on smooth transfer project data from construction and as-built stages to future operations.
To set up the project digital data and drawing information management standard and requirements,
To study and identify the current and potential needs of CADD related systems and management tools; to introduce and recommend the most cost effective and user-friendly solutions for manage the as-built drawing and project data.
Take care of the project digital data as part of company asset; develop, improve and maintain the system to manage the project as-built drawings for future maintenance, operations and long team developments.
Verify as-built submissions to ensure all as-built data comply with the requirements.
Liaise with design consultants / contractors / internal and external parties for CADD and Graphic related information / drawings exchange and sharing.
To provide technical supports to resolve CADD / drawing production related problems encountered by various parties of the project.
To provide minimum but effective CAnoteDD production and graphic design supports to the internal parties of the Corporation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A high certificate or degree holder of architectural / building / engineering / computer design disciplines.
Certificate in Building Quality Inspection and Building Information Modeling preferred.
15 years of design drafting experience in engineering and building construction industry. Minimum 10 year experience in manage coordination with CADD / Drawing productions.
Excellent project co-ordination and management skills in CADD production with strong engineering background. Experience in large construction project preferred. CADD operation system skills and computer literacy are essential.
Expert at CADD production on multi CADD platforms with multi CADD software application experiences, particularly using AutoCAD and MicroStation in Windows platform, and multi-media graphic design software, GIS software and web applications software.
Good at managing drawing production and CADD data with cross multi disciplines knowledge. Leadership in supervising his subordinates in different locations of multi disciplines is crucial as well.
Thorough knowledge of CADD production planning; drafting, detailing; data management on architectural, civil, structural and E&M; building services of large infrastructure development project.
Have solid working knowledge, skill set, experience and capability to solve CADD related problems between Client and Consultants / contractors as required.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
