JOB SUMMARY                                                                                                                                                 

The Marketing Manager (Business Development & Partnerships) participates in developing and implementing programs that will increase tour flow from marketing channels in the Asia Pacific, Europe and Middle East (APEME) markets, building relationships with external vendors, and managing marketing materials. Evaluates programs for generating tours and implements solutions to enhance programs and tour flow. Communicates marketing strategy to APEME partners and internal marketing teams. Monitors and supports the day- to-day activities of vendors.

Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing operations. Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials). Follow up with internal legal and finance teams in the region and at headquarters in the U.S.

Executing Marketing Strategy

  • Involve in developing and implementing strategic plans to increase tour flow from marketing channels
  • Manage and execute tour generation program initiatives, including but not limited to member events, off-site locations and partnerships with vendors
  • Monitor and stabilise broker’s tour production for specific brokers assigned
  • Collect and analyse competitive intelligence (e.g., marketing programs/campaigns) to assist in the enhancement and development of current and future marketing strategy.
  • Develop relationships to build a network with vendors and brokers useful for generating leads
  • Ensure that pricing and communications regarding previews are consistent across all channels.
  • Contribute to development and review of print ads, online ads, and other marketing materials (e.g., audio/video presentations, billboards, events, activities, seminars and special in-house functions).
  • Monitor production from package sales and activation perspectives on a weekly basis to ensure proper forecasting and tour allotments.
  • Monitor reports across channels to determine focus for generating tours.

    Managing Relationships External to Marketing

  • Interact with team members from the finance, sales, NOA, Member Services and legal disciplines to resolve issues appropriate to those functions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with marketing brokers to ensure there is a clear understanding of eligibility requirements or details of participation for generating tours.
  • Share marketing information and strategy with sales force.
  • Build partnerships with resort operations, hotel linkage, OPC vendors, etc, where applicable.

Other

  • Maintain a working knowledge of all Marriott Vacation Club product lines.
  • Maintain current computer systems knowledge as used by the company e.g. OTM, MOOD, Timeshareware.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • Minimum (5) years of equivalent work experience in marketing and/or sales in the hospitality or banking/credit card industry; partnerships experience preferred
  • Tertiary degree

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Proven verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and be a self-starter.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency (native) in reading and writing English.
  • Proficiency (native) in reading and writing Chinese (Mandarin) is an advantage.
