Mastercard’s Peru team is seeking an Account Manager to lead relationships with strategic clients. This role is essential to strengthening Mastercard’s position as a trusted partner for retailers, fintechs and technological enablers, driving business growth, product adoption, and ecosystem expansion.

Responsibilities
• Design and execute the commercial strategy for key payments players in Peru, aligned with global and regional priorities.
• Build and strengthen relationships with Local and Regional Retailers, Digital Partners, and Fintechs to identify opportunities and drive value.
• Act as the connector between local and regional teams, ensuring cohesive execution of Mastercard’s strategy, sharing best practices, and aligning on goals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Services, and Operations teams to implement business plans and track performance.
• Maintain a strong commercial pipeline with clear visibility, disciplined follow-up, and high conversion.
• Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic decisions.
• Negotiate and execute customer agreements, ensuring alignment with objectives and process excellence.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to assess market trends, competition, and regulatory dynamics to identify opportunities.
• Results-oriented and client-focused, with a high sense of ownership and urgency.
• Creative problem solver with strong organizational skills; capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid financial acumen, with experience in building business cases, managing P&L elements, and assessing performance.
• Tech-savvy and intellectually curious, contributing thought leadership across Payments innovation.
• Comfortable working in ambiguity, open to diverse perspectives, and effective in agile, cross-functional environments.
• Experience in payments, fintech, or working with retailers (local or regional) is a strong plus.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required; Portuguese is a plus.
