JOB SUMMARY

The Business Analyst Manager oversees business analysis activities across multiple projects, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with business objectives. This role manages and mentor analysts, leads process improvement efforts, and partners with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that drive operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Oversee and guide business analysis activities across projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.
  • Manage a team of business analysts, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development support.
  • Review and validate business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure proper use of BI tools, data analysis methods, and SDLC practices across analysis efforts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and project managers to prioritize initiatives and balance competing needs.
  • Drive improvements in business analysis processes, templates, and methodologies.
  • Support change management by helping stakeholders understand and adopt new solutions.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex requirements or stakeholder challenges.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and cross-functional initiatives.

SUCCESSFUL CHARACTERISTICS/SKILLS

  • Basic Qualifications & Background
  • Requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in business analysis or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Requires experience managing teams and delivering solutions in complex or regulated environments.
  • Core Skills
  • Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, process optimization, and solution documentation.
  • Ability to ensure consistent and effective application of business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data analysis methods (e.g., SQL) across projects.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and SSDLC practices, with ability to oversee their proper application.
  • Familiarity with project and program management practices.

  • Ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., IIBA CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile BA) preferred.

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $120,000 - $205,200

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
