The BPL Cash Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payment processing for all BPL products while ensuring strict compliance with investor, regulatory, and legal requirements. This leader upholds performance standards and provides consistent coaching and feedback to team members.
The Manager is accountable for the following major areas:
1. Cash Process Management
- Develop, oversee, and enhance cash servicing processes for commercial accounts under Business Purpose Loans (BPL).
- Ensure full regulatory compliance and strong internal controls.
- Support the implementation of new systems and business applications.
- Partner closely with the Head of BPL, Cash, and Investor Reporting.
2. Performance Delivery
- Lead cash servicing delivery teams, including supervisors, analysts, and processors.
- Coach and develop staff to meet and exceed performance goals.
- Drive results aligned with functional SLAs, process metrics, and achievement targets.
This role collaborates extensively with stakeholders across operations (BPL, Investor Reporting), client management, legal, and risk teams to ensure timely processing of all cash transactions.

Director, Cash. How You Will Contribute
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Building client confidence in the company’s ability to effectively service and manage their portfolio.
- Instilling employee confidence in the company’s vision, values, and strategy for delivering shareholder value.
- Leading and managing employees through effective communication, leadership behaviors, and coaching.
- Creating and monitoring key performance metrics aligned with Selene’s objectives and growth strategy, while mitigating financial and reputational risks.
- Staying informed on current industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
- Ensuring competitiveness and compliance with investor contracts, regulatory guidelines, and internal/external SLAs.
- Collaborating on technology initiatives to streamline business processes.
- Providing regular reporting, including cash processing KPIs, MSP edit reporting, and ensuring timely corrective actions.
- Overseeing processing of all wire transfers and check disbursements.
- Ensuring timely reconciliation and resolution of Payment Clearing bank account outages.
- Managing vendor relationships, including Selene Finance’s lockbox processing provider.
- Overseeing internal quality control initiatives and remediating findings.
- Supporting internal and external audit examinations.
- Managing assigned responsibilities, ad hoc tasks, and projects in alignment with company policies and guidelines.
Skills You Will Bring
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 6–10 years of related experience in mortgage loan servicing management with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Knowledge of FHA, GSE, VA, USDA, and CFPB mortgage servicing rules and regulations.
- Experience utilizing MSP/Black Knight Financial Services (BKFS/ICE) servicing systems preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in Cash Management, Investor Reporting/Accounting, and commercial loan management (Business Purpose Loans).
- Ability to influence and drive results.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to train and direct staff across varying skill levels.
- Strong analytical skills for researching and resolving payment processing discrepancies.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
