We are seeking a structured clinical leader to serve as Manager of Behavioral Health Clinical Services for the Methodist Community Counseling Program (MHCCP). In this pivotal role, you will oversee clinical operations and excellence across Omaha Public Schools - high schools, middle schools, and alternative programs – as well as various community partnerships. Additionally, you will play a central role in coordinating behavioral health services within the Methodist System.

Responsible for the overall leadership and direction for behavioral health clinical services for departments served. Requires a combination of strong clinical expertise, exceptional management skills, and a passion for providing high-quality mental health care. Will oversee the clinical operations, program and staff development, and quality improvement initiatives for all associated behavioral health programs and services.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

Clinical Leadership (50%)

  • Provide direct oversight of clinical services for all applicable behavioral health programs

  • Strategic planning including identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, developing and communicating a clear vision for behavioral health clinical services, and motivating the team towards achieving strategic goals

  • Effective communication, addressing concerns and managing transitions to new processes or systems

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based mental health services

  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures

  • Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in behavioral health and/or EAP services

  • Collaborate with all program managers in the successful delivery of services

  • Foster a culture of ongoing personal and leadership development

  • Develop and implement crisis management protocols and respond to crises as needed.

  • Review complex cases to ensure appropriate treatment plans and interventions

  • Ongoing personal and professional growth for self and team.

  • Maintain a limited caseload when necessary and provide onsite coverage for other programs.

Program Management and Development (30%)

  • Develop and implement new clinical programs and services

  • Serve as primary point of contact for program issues and growth

  • Allocate resources effectively and efficiently

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate behavioral health services into the overall worksite / community / healthcare delivery system

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs/services and make necessary adjustments

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on donations, RFP’s and applications as applicable

Quality and Compliance (10%)

  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care

  • Monitor outcomes and performance metrics. Analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness

  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. HIPAA) and any other program/Health System programs/policies and procedures as they pertain to business functions

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to clients and staff

Community/Customer/Member Engagement (10%)

  • Effectively communicate with staff, clients and external stakeholders

  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, funders and member employers

  • Participate in networking, community outreach activities, or sales initiatives as needed

  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings regarding program success and utilization as needed

  • Advocate for mental health awareness and services

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience providing behavioral health counseling/therapy required

  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience required

License/Certification:

  • Nebraska Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) in good standing required

Skills/Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Clinical expertise

    • Mental health disorders, diagnostic criteria, and treatment modalities

    • Proficiency in evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions
