Do work that matters:
Balance Sheet Risk Management (BSRM), partner with Group Treasury, to provide independent challenge and oversight of core Treasury functions, including funding, liquidity, transfer pricing and traded and non-traded market risks and asset and liability management.
BSRM provides advice on risk and opportunities on the Group’s Balance Sheet through:
Design and approval of risk frameworks;
Monitoring risk exposures vs limits;
Providing analytical insights on Group Treasury exposures to optimise risk/reward over time within risk appetite and tolerances;
Your Impact:
As a Manager, you will play a key leadership role in promoting and strengthening Liquidity and Funding risk oversight across the Group. This role provides significant Group‑wide exposure and requires you to develop and apply a qualitative and quantitative understanding of key businesses, products and balance sheet strategies.
Working closely with senior business leaders and executives, you will review and approve material initiatives critical ensuring regulatory compliancy. You will be expected to influence risk outcomes, contribute to strategic decision‑making and provide trusted risk advice across complex matters.
We are interested in hearing from people who have:
Deep and relevant experience within Group Treasury or a second line risk function, with exposure to liquidity and funding, traded or non‑traded market risk and/or transfer pricing. (APS/APG 210 knowledge desirable)
A practical, commercial approach to risk management, with the confidence to provide constructive challenge and operate effectively senior stakeholder with the ability to influence, negotiate and communicate clearly.
Demonstrated python and SQL skills required to extract, cleansing and analysing data to validate observations. The role does not require a programmer, but someone who is comfortable working with data to form robust, evidence‑based insights.
