Job Description Summary:

This role will be responsible for detailed design, development and implementation of automation use cases as well as daily management for all IT equipment related shopfloor network. A key objective of this role is to increase productivity and improve efficiency in CPS plant by leveraging advances in both IT and Automation technologies. Work with external suppliers and internal related function and SME to designs and execute the project to meet requirement of regulations, safety and environment, GMP, food safety as well as company’s KORE.

Key results:

- Determining the factory software architecture and automation technology platforms required to deliver the CPS Digital Transformation.

- Leading the technical implementation of a broad set of technologies including the development of bespoke and/or heavily customized applications, introducing off-the-shelf

IT/Controls applications to enable digitization of the factory floor and implementation of advanced, highly automated manufacturing improvements (use cases).

- Interfacing with plant management and will require of mix of technical skills, project management and in-depth knowledge of both factory floor and supply chain operations

- Feasibility assessments and estimation of time and cost for approved use cases;

- Project Management, design/knowledge documentation, working with vendors

- Programming in multiple environments (C#, VB.Net, SQL, Python, Vision, Robotics, PLCs,

- Database administration and development of SQL (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS etc)

- Validation & Documentation

- System Handover to site production support

- In charge of project for improvement the existing process facilities to meet production requirement.

- Take a leader role for some modification and improvement project for design and execution.

- Sort out the technicality data of equipment and develop to SOP for production.

- To conduct related training for production operators and maintenance technicians.

- Prepare non-capital project and capital project budget annually for the plant capacity development.

- Technical support works for maintenance activities as well as the equipment
management works.

- Be responsible of safety and environment to ensure all execution project without any accident

Functional Skills:

Technical Mastery

- Programming in multiple environments (C#, VB.Net, SQL, Python, Vision, Robotics, PLCs,HMIs)
- Database administration and development of SQL (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS)

- Electrical and mechanical maintenance skills

- Software Development; ideally to include a strong mix of C# and .Net Technologies,
databases, web development, PLC/HMI programming.

- Proven experience in delivering complex plant controls projects to a high standard.

Project Management:

Project Leadership:

  • Ability to manage projects to ensure successful delivery, to establish clear goals and accountabilities
  • Leads periodic project reviews utilizing a thorough knowledge of the project delivery process projects.
  • Identifies, recommends and implements project management best practices.
  • Identifies, recommends and implements capital effectiveness best practices (e.g. team alignment, target setting, project controls, rate of change, value improving practices, leading technology, constructability, planning for startup) based on thorough knowledge of project management.
  • Ensures projects are planned and executed in compliance with laws, regulations, safety and environment, GMP, food safety as well as KORE.

Project Planning:

  • Defines technical project objectives utilizing thorough knowledge of project management practices and procedures.
  • Prepares the plan for how the project is executed, monitored and controlled.
  • Works with cross-functional professionals to leverage knowledge and practices that increase value captured throughout the project.
  • Support Engineering manager to prepare all projects budget annually, including non- capital project and capital project.

Project Execution:

  • Utilizes the project management framework to achieve technical project objectives of delivered safely, on time, on budget and operability results are realized.

Project Control:

  • Work with Engineering and Maintenance Manager to regularly measures and monitors project progress to identify variances from the plan and make needed corrections.

Knowledge & Experience:

- Above 5~10 years experience in maintenance, engineering, software/network platform architecture development and industry PLC program editing

Education & Professional Qualification:

Bachelors degree, major in electrical automatic, Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline

Language Requirements:

Excellent written and oral English & Chinese skills

Travel Requirements: 

Travel up to 5 % of work time under normal conditions
