What is the Opportunity?

We have an opportunity to play a key role where you will be responsible for leading an operational team function and ensuring the effective management of operational risk while maintaining data integrity. This is a 12 month Secondment / Fixed term contract position.
The Manager requires a deep understanding of operational procedures and practices, as well as the ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives, drive process improvements, and make informed decisions that impact WME Operations. The role is accountable for all team management activities, including adherence to HR processes and promoting team engagement.
RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.
What will you do?
Accountable for ensuring that procedures are maintained and adhered to, guaranteeing a high level of accuracy and the timely delivery of service in accordance with relevant WME Operations procedures, standards and SLAs (where defined).
Accountable for the review and sign-off of departmental procedures in-line with regulatory and audit requirements, while delivering on agreed timescales (for example, ensuring active individual and team engagement with ActiveOps).
Accountable for ensuring the timely and appropriate levels of escalation, as well as proactively supporting the resolution of risks and issues.
Set a clear direction and purpose for operational team function aligned with group strategy.
Accountable for ensuring personal and team member understanding and adherence to Risk and Control, Policy Frameworks specific to the role in WME Operations.
Embed and drive a culture of simplification and innovation via continuous improvement within team(s) and working collaboratively with Operational Initiatives.
Ensuring the change portfolio is understood and adequately resourced from within the team to support the deliverables working collaboratively with Operations Initiatives
