Artistree-DFW Airport
The Manager - Artistree Asset Protection will lead safety, security, and environmental programs for our Artistree Manufacturing facilities while supporting safety initiatives for Michaels' retail stores. This role will reduce loss, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a "safety-first" culture.
Major Activities
- Safety & Risk Management: Develop and lead safety programs, conduct new-hire orientations, and partner with operations to fix safety hazards.
- Retail & Field Support: Analyze injury trends (WC/GL) to prevent future accidents and help the Legal team resolve any regulatory violations.
- Security & Vendor Oversight: Manage all physical security systems—including CCTV, alarms, and contract security—while ensuring vendors provide quality service at preferred pricing.
- Compliance: Ensure the facility meets all US and Canadian environmental and safety regulations, including hazardous waste and wastewater permitting.
- Financial Accountability: Manage the AP and Safety budgets, ensuring cost control and a strong ROI on new security technology.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and coach a high-performing team focused on results and collaboration.

- Reduce Total Retail Loss and operational risk.
- Maintain 100% compliance with environmental and safety laws.
- Drive continuous improvement through data-driven safety training.

Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn other related systems in support of the role
Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires
- 7-8 years in Asset Protection or Safety Fields

- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong phone communication skills
- General understanding of manufacturing environment
- Organizational and ability to multi-task. Able to adjust well to varying pace of work

Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (Asset Protection or related field)
Preferred Special Certifications or Technical Skills
- OSHA, CSP, ISO, CSHO, RCRA
Preferred Type of Experience the Job Requires
- 7- 8 years of combined retail & manufacturing experience is preferred, providing support to an organization of similar scope and complexity
