Define and drive the overall QA strategy, test methodologies, and quality standards across teams.
Establish and continuously improve QA processes, including test plans, automation strategy, regression cycles, and release sign-off.
Partner with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to ensure quality is integrated into the SDLC (shifting quality left).
Mentor QA engineers (manual & automation), provide technical guidance, and ensure high execution standards.
Coordinate cross-team testing efforts for major releases, integrations, and cross-product initiatives.
Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to clarify requirements, acceptance criteria, and edge cases early.
Create, review, and maintain comprehensive test plans for new features and releases.
Lead functional, regression, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing.
Ensure full coverage for critical flows and customer journeys.
Drive automation strategy; expand automated coverage for APIs, UI, and regression scenarios.
Select, implement, and maintain testing tools/frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Postman, etc.).
Work with CI/CD to integrate automated tests into pipelines and improve feedback loops.
Define meaningful QA KPIs: defect leakage, automation coverage, cycle time, stability, etc.
Report quality status, risks, and readiness to engineering and leadership stakeholders.
Own the “go/no-go” quality assessment for releases.
Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
Ensure learnings from production are fed back into tests and quality processes.
Champion the customer perspective in every release.
4–7+ years of hands-on QA experience (manual + automation).
2+ years leading QA efforts or mentoring QA engineers.
Strong experience with backend/API testing and at least one automation framework.
Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and release processes.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify edge cases.
Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence teams.
Experience with cloud-based environments (GCP/AWS/Azure).
Experience testing distributed systems, microservices, or high-scale SaaS platforms.
Performance/load testing experience (JMeter, k6, Gatling).
Familiarity with QA in regulated or enterprise environments (SOC2, ISO, PCI).
Quality champion with a proactive mindset.
Highly organized and process-driven.
Curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about improving team velocity and stability.
Comfortable working cross-functionally with global teams.
