Job Title: Manager, Applications System Development
Summary of This Role:
Manage the delivery of software solutions in the Payments Domain, utilizing expertise in PERL, PostgreSQL, and DevOps tools. Responsible for participating in team activities, developing robust systems, and ensuring technical excellence throughout the software development lifecycle.
What Part Will You Play?
- Manage the delivery of the Payments Domain Product
- Collaborate with a team of software engineers, participating in technical discussions and sharing your expertise.
- Contribute to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of scalable payment solutions.
- Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive project success.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, DevOps practices, and agile methodologies.
- Take part in code and design reviews, troubleshooting, and hands-on problem solving.
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
- Ability to lead the delivery team with people / technical management skills
- Strong expertise in PERL and PostgreSQL with solid experience in DevOps practices (Github, Jenkins, etc).
- Ability to share knowledge and support junior team members.
- Excellent communication skills, especially when working with distributed teams.
- Experience in designing and optimizing databases and backend technologies.
- Ability to develop and deploy solutions using modern tools and platforms.
Job Complexity -
- Responsible for managing the end to end delivery
- Participate in technical problem solving for business-critical solutions
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
Supervision -
- Support and mentor junior developers when needed
- Take ownership of assigned project tasks, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
Minimum Qualifications:
- BE / B Tech / MCA
- 10 - 14 years of development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* Skills / Knowledge -
- Expertise in Perl programming
- Experience with database design, DDL, and DML for PostgreSQL and/or Oracle
- C Programming, Oracle, Linux OS, GCP (or any cloud platform awareness)
- Proficiency with development tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio Code
- Payments Domain experience is mandatory
- Prior leading experience is mandatory
