Discover Impactful Work:
We are looking to hire a Manager Antibody Discovery and Characterization within our Affinity department. In this is role, you will manage a team of committed scientists and engineers who are focused on antibody development and protein characterization, supporting the continued growth of Proximity Extension Assay based products.
You will promote innovation and ensure R&D activities are completed effectively, working alongside other R&D groups and functions company-wide.
A Day in the Life:
Guide a team of R&D professionals, delivering mentorship, support, and direction to promote teamwork and career growth.
Coordinate the planning, implementation, and completion of R&D activities, ensuring they meet expectations.
Collaborate with within R&D and cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and manufacturing, to align R&D efforts with business objectives.
Develop and implement R&D strategies, goals, and initiatives.
Monitor industry trends, new technologies, and competitor activities to find opportunities for new innovations.
Ensure compliance with company standards in all R&D activities.
Prepare and present reports, proposals, and project updates to senior management and collaborators.
Support the establishment and improvement of processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the R&D department.
Qualifications and skills:
Master’s (or equivalent) in biochemistry/molecular biology/biotechnology; Ph.D. is preferred.
2+ years in a managerial position with a strong record of leading R&D projects from concept to completion.
Expertise in antibody development/characterization; knowledge of proteomics and the human proteome.
Proven leadership within R&D: resource and budget management, time management and setting of deliverables.
Inclusive, strategic leader who develops diverse teams.
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail; thrives in fast-paced environments.
