The Analyst, AI Market Research Insights will own the development, curation, and socialization of market intelligence materials that inform and accelerate Manulife’s global AI strategy and support in crafting an internal narrative related to both internal and external AI happenings. This individual will build and sustain capabilities for tracking technological developments, industry adoption trends, and surfacing actionable insights that guide timely, data-driven decisions in a rapidly evolving AI landscape – acting as a key input for global AI initiatives to align closely with our enterprise AI ambitions/strategy.
To be successful in the role, the candidate must be outcomes-oriented and will possess demonstrated experience in delivering analytical insights in a highly visible environment related to AI/emerging technology for a global organization. This individual must also be comfortable delivering presentations and catering content to a wide range of stakeholders with varying technical aptitudes. Experience in contributing to analytics/AI projects is an asset.
Position Responsibilities:
Market Intelligence & Research
Systematically monitor AI news, events, reports, indices, and consulting publications (e.g., Evident, Accenture, Gartner, Forrester, Deloitte, MBB firms) relevant to financial services and insurance.
Track and evaluate industry conferences and events relative to Manulife and our initiatives, curating inventories of high-impact gatherings and producing post-event knowledge sharing materials.
Conduct analytical research on emerging AI trends (on their impact on the insurance industry), highlighting key applications, use cases, and recent developments to guide strategic decisions and thought leadership.
Content Development & Delivery
Develop and deliver consistent pulse-checks on current events in AI while applying an industry lens.
Create strategic one-pagers translating external AI developments into clear, relevant insights for Manulife teams.
Own the development and ongoing refresh of the material in the Manulife AI walking deck, ensuring it consistently reflects the latest industry insights, strategic perspectives, and key findings for executive and leadership presentations. Collaborate with stakeholders to align content with evolving business priorities and support effective knowledge sharing across the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement & Narrative Development for Strategic AI Initiatives
Partner closely with Gen AI Program leads, AI initiative leads, architects, and engineering teams to capture and communicate developments. Support these stakeholders in crafting compelling narratives and presentation materials that showcase our progress, impact, and strategic direction to business and technical audiences.
Partner with AI Communications and other workstreams to co-develop materials for leadership and broader audiences, establishing a consistent voice and perspective across ongoing AI initiatives and workstreams.
Maintain a strong connection with the AI adoption and acceleration teams to ensure insights actively support the process of instilling an AI-first mindset across the organization.
Lead the strategic distribution of AI content through channels such as Townhalls, Communities of Practice, internal events, and newsletters, maximizing visibility and engagement throughout Manulife.
Effectively and regularly communicate with key stakeholders, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or strategic analysis—preferably in AI, technology, or financial services.
Experience executing in both waterfall and agile project methodologies.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience developing executive-level reports and presentations.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business/functional stakeholders, data scientists, engineers, and vendor SMEs across a global, distributed environment.
Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms, verbal and written, to both a Senior Executive audience and project delivery teams; able to effectively articulate the business opportunity, solution vision, possibilities, and outcomes to technical and non-technical audience.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills; has experience in collaborating and partnering with business/functional stakeholders, data scientists, data engineers, architects, and vendor SMEs across a global, distributed environment.
High standard of work with keen attention to detail and deliverable quality.
Growth mindset; constantly learns from successes and failures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting large-scale analytics/AI projects involving cross-functional technical teams, business partners, and change management partners.
Knowledge of corporate function processes and capabilities.
Experience building executive-level reports and presentations.
The Ideal candidate is some with a high degree of business acumen and strategic thinking with experience in emerging technology and Tech (AI specific experience is preferred)

Salary range is expected to be between
