Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Monthly sales monitoring (TCF compliance) in order to identify if there are any breaches of sales conduct or requirements. Ensure that the policyholders are treated fairly from the prospecting stage to the end of the contractual relationship (sales quality).
- Promote sales compliance awareness to the Agency Force, including communicating common observations noted from PAMB Compliance reviews (i.e. Agency Office Visits, Welcome calls, review on customer fact find forms, etc) for their notation and improvement.
- Agency Office Visits (AOV) – Join visit with Compliance and to do FUFT (if required).
- Welcome call (monthly) – report generation, FUFT for Agents & Leaders feedback (half-yearly), sample listening to audio file & feedback
- YLP form review – sample review and FUFT
- Liaise and coordinate between various departments on any risks and compliance issues arise. Follow up with agencies on requirement to be done.
- Quarterly reporting to management on the observation of key risk register and risk trend monitoring on agency distribution risk. Highlight to supervisor if there is any observation needs monitoring.
- Quarterly – i) Same contact details tracking & monitoring ii) Sensitive Information Transfer – Compile and revert to Info Risk.
- Check with users on User Developed Application (UDA) for any changes and revert to Info Risk
- Prepare agency related compliance reporting. ie. Data transfer, Key Risk Report, UDA, Sensitive data, Turnbull, PDPA, etc.
- Liaise with Risk & Compliance department on any issues/enquiries which related to agency.
- Half yearly review and preparation of Regulatory Compliance Self-Assessment (RCSA) for sign off and reporting to Compliance.
- Business Impact Analysis (BIA) – update the yearly BIA and check for validity with the respective sections before sending the checklist to BCP team for review and signed off by the GM.
- Ad hoc – Incident Reporting with monthly follow up and status update until closure.
- Response to any new regulatory guidelines and obtain sign off and reporting to Compliance.
- Follow up with AD team on the updates of Call Tree for Agency Distribution to Business Continuity Management.
- Ensure Agency Force attend and complete all the mandatory Compliance training, e.g. AML, ABC, Sales Compliance Refresher, etc, as defined from time to time by the Company.
- Monitoring of Policy Violation of PDPA – check with violators and the counter actions required.
- Attend workshop/seminar/meetings that are held by risk/compliance ie. Scenario Analysis, Risk & Control Assessment Workshop.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Risk & Compliance
- At least 3 years of working experience as Risk & Compliance Officer in Financial Institutions
- Preferably candidates who possess insurance knowledge.
- Good work ethics. Able to work independently, resourceful and can be relied on to follow up and complete tasks.
- Proficient in English, strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Meticulous and able to perform well under pressure. Work independently with less supervision
- External & Internal Audit Experience will be considered
