Manager, Advisor Compensation Support:
The Manager, Advisor Compensation Support provides day-to-day leadership and guidance to the advisor compensation support team. Working in close partnership with the Senior Manager, Advisor Compensation, the Manager helps reinforce service and quality standards and serves as an escalation point for complex advisor inquiries.
The Manager collaborates closely with Business Development, Finance, Compliance, Operations, Data Analytics, Enterprise Project Management Office and external carriers to support efficient resolution of advisor commission issues and inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
People Leadership
Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development to the advisor compensation support team to ensure service and quality standards are met.
Coordinate workloads and optimize team workflows to meet service demands.
Act as the first point of escalation for complex or sensitive compensation matters on behalf of the advisor compensation support team with our carrier partners.
Some travel may be required.
Compensation Operations and Expertise
Review service standards and response times and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and ensure consistent service delivery.
Lead and review complex commission investigations, ensuring clear, consistent, and well supported reporting.
Stakeholder and Advisor Support
Act as a senior resource for advisors and carrier partners on complex compensation inquiries.
Build and maintain strong relationships with advisors and external carriers to support effective issue resolution.
Identify recurring issues or trends and recommend service or process improvements.
Act as subject matter expert for compensation and enterprise projects working in collaboration with the Enterprise Project Management Office.
Governance, Controls and Continuous Improvement
Support the advisor compensation support team in adopting compliance policies, internal controls and regulatory requirements related to compensation.
Communicate compliance policies and regulatory requirements to advisors.
Provide oversight of debit balance management and recovery strategies, partnering with Finance and Compliance on risk mitigation.
Identify and support process improvement, automation, and workflow optimization initiatives.

Engage in actions that encourage, reflect and align with PPI’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments to our Advisors, their clients and our employees.
Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and service-oriented‑ team environment through positive leadership, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Minimum 5 years’ insurance industry experience.
In-depth knowledge of MGA advisor compensation models, and commission structures.
Minimum three years’ experience in a team lead or senior role, providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, training, and work coordination.
Proven ability to conduct and support complex commission investigations, producing clear and well supported summary reporting.
Strong analytical and financial acumen, with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
Ability to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and contribute to process improvement and automation in a high-volume environment.
Exceptional attention to detail, with a high standard of accuracy, consistency, and accountability.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex compensation matters.
Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and with external partners.
Self-motivated and results driven, able to work independently while contributing as a team member.
Demonstrated professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Excellent English language skills, both oral and written, due to frequent interaction with internal and external partners across Canada; French language skills are considered an asset.
This role is for a new position. The expected salary range for this position starts at $80,000 and will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and skill set.
