Overview
The Manager of Acquiring Optimization and Strategy is a newly created position on the Acquiring Team designed to work across the team to deliver strategic initiatives to accelerate the team’s revenue growth. The Manager is expected to become indispensable by managing projects and improving processes that will fuel team effectiveness and success – both internally and externally. This person will be comfortable taking ownership in representing the team and advocating on behalf of acquirers in conversations/decisions across Mastercard cross functional teams.

Role

• Strategic Projects: Lead strategic projects for the Acquiring Team, which could be internal in support of various cross-functional Mastercard initiatives or external in support of growing customer relationships and acceptance footprint. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive project completion and achieve business outcomes

• Data and Analytics: Conduct data-driven analyses to monitor team/customer performance, identify trends, and generate actionable insights (internal & external). Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to help the team understand key performance metrics and progress toward goals.

• Operational Management: Manage and follow up on operational cases, resolving issues related to transaction processing, data discrepancies, and service delivery. Ensure timely and accurate resolution of cases, coordinating with internal teams such as Operations and Technical Support to address client needs.

• Process Management: Create and maintain a set of standards for account planning, tracking of team/account performance, and client engagement to be applied across the team. Manage the global engagement framework and interaction across the global acquiring accounts.

• Self-starter who is eager to make a difference – this is a new position on the Acquiring Team so there is no ‘blueprint’ for success; it’s a terrific opportunity for this person to help define a role that will become an indispensable part of the team.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills – ability to build strong working relationships at all levels both internally with key MA executives as well as externally with senior customer contacts.

• Track record of project management success to drive results - comfortable stepping into a leadership role and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to drive projects to success.

• Growth oriented mind set, curious out of the box thinker and problem solver – eager to challenge the status quo to drive continuous improvement to our team and our customers.

•• Experience working in the Payments ecosystem (e.g, network, acquirer, issuer, payfac, or ISO) or supporting the payments/technology sector as a consultant or banker
• Bachelor’s degree required

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Purchase, New York: $139,000 - $223,000 USD

New York City, New York: $145,000 - $233,000 USD
