Job Summary:

Oversees the accounts payable, records and imaging and other transactional services functional area(s). Provides oversight and direction regarding assigned team, financial and operational activities. Supports project execution, driving regional standardization, process improvement, automation, and controls in accounts payable and cross-country operations.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Oversees team in preparing, coding, verifying, balancing, and reconciling a variety of accounting transactions, paying vendor invoices, and/or posting customer payments.
  • Manages a team responsible for maintaining, balancing and reconciling accounts payable, receivable ledger and general ledger accounts, financial statements and reports.
  • Routinely communicates with suppliers, and internal/external customers, both orally and in writing, to resolve issues and provide accurate and timely customer service.
  • Ensures adherence to external and internal controls, accounting/accounts payable/receivable policies and procedures, contractual compliance, approval levels, accuracy and compliance with GAAP, SOX and all other accounting regulations.
  • Responsible for team supporting businesses on timely and accurate order adjustments.
  • Performs analyses of accounts payable to monitor the integrity of accounts and identify risks.
  • Participate in special projects such as compiling, preparing and distributing financial reports, assisting with data analysis and problem resolution, and providing audit assistance.
  • Lead or coordinate process improvements and regional project implementation to enhance standardization, process optimization, and automation.
  • Manages the maintainance of electronic and paper records required for document retention as a service to finance, HR, legal, sales and other departments and maintains the integrity of interfaced documents in the electronic document retention system.
  • Manages a team responsible for the timely and accurate maintenance of physical records and proper destruction of such records as well as purging electronic records per the records retention policy.

  • Collaborates with team(s), customers/ clients, functional peer group managers and occasionally senior management. Participates and presents at meetings with internal and external representatives.
  • Decisions may have impact on work processes and outcomes. Erroneous decisions or recommendations may result in serious delays and considerable expenditures of additional time, people and/or financial resources.


Work Experience:

  • Typically 6+ years including 2+ years of supervisory experience


Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
