Manager, Account Management
Overview
The Account Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of commercial relationships with assigned financial institutions, ensuring sustainable business growth, adoption of Mastercard’s solution portfolio, and consistent value delivery. The role serves as the primary strategic point of contact between the financial institutions and Mastercard, aligning commercial, operational, and innovation objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and strengthen strategic relationships with assigned issuing and/or acquiring financial institutions.
Develop and execute account plans to drive growth in volume, revenue, and market share.
Identify opportunities for the adoption of Mastercard solutions, including payments, data & analytics, digital, and security services.
Lead commercial and contractual negotiations, ensuring alignment with both client and Mastercard objectives.
Coordinate cross-functional internal teams (product, marketing, technology, legal, finance) to ensure successful execution of initiatives.
Monitor client performance through KPIs, business reviews, and financial analysis.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and proactively manage risks or issues.
Maintain a strong understanding of the financial services market, regulatory environment, competitive landscape, and payment industry trends.

All About You
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
Prior experience in key account management, financial services, payments, or fintech.
Solid understanding of financial institutions and the payments ecosystem.
Proven relationship management and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills with a results-driven mindset.
Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, matrixed, and high-performance environments.
More than 5 years of experience in a sales and/or management position
Proven team builder with a desire to develop, lead and manage variety of operational roles
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong ability to influence and build consensus.
High level of understanding of operations of each department of the company.
