Major Duties:

  • The successful candidate will perform the full range of complex information management and support functions across the division. Such duties include but are not limited to: Performs analytical and evaluative work in support of office programs, management systems, and processes impacting one or more of the following functional areas: budget execution, congressional hearing management, contract administration, resource utilization, performance management and internal controls, program evaluation, human capital, correspondence management, records management, information collections, FOIA management, space management, and general administrative operations. Leads efforts to develop policies and procedures and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of office operations. Provides advice and recommendations to the Office Director and Associate Director in their assigned functional area.

Qualifications: In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE (GG-09): To qualify for grade GG-09 grade level you must possess at least one year of specialized equivalent to the next lower grade (GG-07). Specialized experience for this position includes Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the fields of administrative policy, procedures, practices and standards pertaining to correspondence; coordinating administrative activities; correspondence management, records management, information collections, office instructions, and the ability to work in a team environment. Candidates must be able to effectively collaborate and deal tactfully, confidentially, and professionally with all levels of personnel. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE (GG-11): To qualify for grade GG-11 grade level you must possess at least one year of specialized equivalent to the next lower grade (GG-09). Candidates must be able to effectively collaborate and deal tactfully, confidentially, and professionally with all levels of personnel. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: 1. Demonstrated knowledge of X. (Example: proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and correspondence procedures sufficient to prepare and review outgoing material for correctness, proper format, and completeness). 2. Demonstrated ability to X. (Example: work efficiently in handling multiple assignments with competing priorities often under considerable pressure to meet deadlines). 3. Demonstrated ability to X. (Example: deal tactfully, efficiently and professionally with all levels of personnel). In addition to the basic requirements, to qualify for this position you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
