Job Summary: This position is part of the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will manage the internal business operations for the Office of Workforce Administration and Management. The role involves planning and implementing initiatives, overseeing correspondence, including, coordinating responses to inquiries and data calls from various government agencies, and managing administrative and operational needs.

Veterans shape the future of energy As a Management and Program Analyst, you will: Optimize Operations: Spearhead the planning, development, and implementation of initiatives that enhance OWAM's internal business operations and drive efficiency. Shape Strategic Direction: Actively design, operate, support, and evaluate OWAM programs, introducing innovative solutions to boost effectiveness and timeliness across the Department. Pioneer New Solutions: Lead the creation of cutting-edge systems and tools for Department-wide implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational and Departmental human capital priorities. Inform Leadership & Drive Impact: Provide crucial support by coordinating high-level data calls and inquiries, and crafting compelling reports, presentations, and briefings that inform and guide senior leadership in critical decision-making. You will ensure OWAM's contributions are directly aligned with Human Capital and DOE-wide strategic goals.

Qualifications: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting 2 of 3 of the following: Managing internal business operations and initiatives from various internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational priorities. Developing and implementing innovative organizational systems and tools to support or improve organizational or programmatic timeliness, effectiveness, or operations. Performing advanced data and trend analysis to inform decision-making and leading large data calls. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
