The Management Analyst II position in the City of Tucson’s Water Department supports the Customer Service Division with critical data management and further supports the successful execution of ongoing high-priority initiatives. This position serves as a pivotal role in data analysis of existing processes and systems while focusing on identifying insufficiencies and serves as a liaison for the division in analytical analysis.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Water Administrator. This position does not supervise.
Essential duties include but are not limited to:
Conducts research, gathers data, and performs analytical studies on departmental programs, policies, and operations; identifies inefficiencies, recommends process changes, and contributes to implementation research and development.
Prepares analytical reports, presentations, charts, summaries, and other written materials that clearly communicate findings and supports management decision-making.
Supports special projects, including conducting in-depth data analysis, collaborating across divisions, and assisting with new program or system implementations.
Updates and manages dashboards in PowerBI ensuring transparency that directly supports leaders throughout Tucson Water.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Mostly office environment. This position will be expected to operate a city vehicle.
