Major Duties:

  • You will assist all levels of management in the execution of day-to-day business management of Surface Maintenance Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP).
  • You will plan and conduct comprehensive studies and reviews.
  • You will perform studies on major management functions (e.g., procurement, supply, manpower, ship maintenance planning, etc.) or significant segments of several major management functions.
  • You will apply analytical ability and evaluative techniques to management problems.
  • You will propose ways to improve and carry out management functions in a sound, appropriate manner.
  • You will attend meetings with managers and supervisors to help formulate and present management improvement plans and strategies.
  • You will prepare presentations, oral and written, that define the best course of action for management to follow in achieving mission objectives.
  • You will draft and recommend concise charts and graphs covering a variety of subjects.
  • You will review and comment on management plans, annual budget, and proposals.
  • You will monitor problem areas to measure progress toward objectives in an efficient, effective, and economical manner and report on progress.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the lower pay band, NH-02 (GS-11 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying analytical, diagnostic, or qualitative and quantitative techniques to identify shortcomings and provide comprehensive management advisory and technical services for ship platform or system repair, maintenance and modernization planning.
