Management Accountant

The Management Accountant plays a key role in supporting management, especially the Financial Planning & Performance Manager The Management Accountant is responsible for preparing management reporting and conducting profitability analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making. This role develops and maintains financial models, partners with business units on operational costs management and margin performance, advising and providing timely management reporting and compliance. The position contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and provides backup payroll processing support.

Job Description:

Management Reporting: Report and advise on budget, forecast and strategic plans including monitor and report production and purchase cost variances and collaborate with teams to manage operational expenditure. Lead analysis and coordination of indirect procurement for allocated operational expenditure categories.

General Ledger: Ensure accounts present a true and fair financial view.

Forecasting Model Development & Management: Develop and maintain forecast models for sales margins and operational expenditure.

Business Partnering: Collaborate with the business to provide financial insights into cost control and margin improvement opportunities.

Financial Modelling for Initiatives: Develop financial models to support commercial and operational projects.

Finance Power BI Reporting: Design and maintain Power BI dashboards for finance KPIs.

Continuous Improvement Projects: Lead or support initiatives to improve financial processes and automation.

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality: Complies with Nutreco Health, Safety, Environment and Quality procedures and policies.
