Mammography Technologists on this team play an important role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while creating a supportive and compassionate experience for patients throughout their visit. The ideal caregiver is someone who helps patients feel comfortable and supported while contributing to a positive experience during an important preventive and diagnostic service. 

A caregiver in this position is PRN and works varying shifts | primary hours are between 6:30am—5:00pm | requirement is 36 hours every 6 weeks | additional hours can be picked up at other locations, if avaiable.  

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Perform high-quality mammography imaging while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout the exam.

  • Educate and support patients to promote understanding and a positive care experience.

  • Review images for quality and complete all required documentation, image archiving, and exam processing.

  • Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality assurance standards, including equipment checks and reporting malfunctions as needed.

  • Collaborate with team members across imaging locations and support the onboarding, teaching, and mentoring of new caregivers and students.

  • Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to ongoing learning and skill development.


Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of Radiologic Technology 

  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. R.T.(R) (ARRT), in good standing 

  • Certification in Mammography: R.T.(R) (M) (ARRT) 

  • Current state licensure (RL) required prior to employment 

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross 

  • Successful completion of 40 hours of mammography training 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist 

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
