Mammography Technologists on this team play an important role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while creating a supportive and compassionate experience for patients throughout their visit. A caregiver in this position is PRN and works varying shifts | primary hours are between 6:30am—5:00pm | requirement is 36 hours every 6 weeks | additional hours can be picked up at other locations, if avaiable.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform high-quality mammography imaging while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout the exam.
Educate and support patients to promote understanding and a positive care experience.
Review images for quality and complete all required documentation, image archiving, and exam processing.
Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality assurance standards, including equipment checks and reporting malfunctions as needed.
Collaborate with team members across imaging locations and support the onboarding, teaching, and mentoring of new caregivers and students.
Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to ongoing learning and skill development.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of Radiologic Technology
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. R.T.(R) (ARRT), in good standing
Certification in Mammography: R.T.(R) (M) (ARRT)
Current state licensure (RL) required prior to employment
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
Successful completion of 40 hours of mammography training
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
Physical Requirements:
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
