Job Summary: This position is located at the Riding Stables. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

Major Duties:

  • Duties require the use of trade practices associated with landscaping and painting as well as work involving motor vehicle operations. Performs operational maintenance on park vehicles and equipment. Required to operate up to 7.5 ton trucks.
  • Performs minor grounds maintenance to include ensuring entrances and exits are free from debris, sidewalks are clear of ice/snow, and surfaces are maintained according to safety requirements.
  • Monitors outside areas to ensure proper installation provided grounds and maintenance support have been received. May conduct and document daily safety inspections of facility and grounds.
  • Performs grass-cutting requirements using riding lawn mowers / garden tractors (from 18HP to 31 HP), push mowers, edgers, chainsaws, blowers, weed-eaters, pruners, etc.
  • Applies fertilizer and chemicals as directed. Weeds flowerbeds, prunes shrubs and trees, clear scrub trees and brush, and waters grass, trees, and plants.
