Maintenance Technician
As QuidelOrtho continues to grow, we are seeking to appoint a Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering Maintenance team in Pencoed on a permanent basis. This role will work on a 24/7 shift pattern.
About QuidelOrtho, Pencoed:
QuidelOrtho has been manufacturing products in South Wales for over 40 years. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, based in Pencoed, employs over 600 people who are involved in the manufacture and supply of clinical laboratory and immunohematology products to sites across the globe.
Our Pencoed team manufacture a large menu of immunohematology products used in transfusion medicine; in addition to a large menu of immunoassay products encompassing a range of disease categories.
On site we have a range of functions operating globally & locally. All our employees are working towards one common goal, to help save and improve lives through diagnostics.
Your new role:
As a Maintenance Technician at QuidelOrtho, you will focus on maximizing the availability and performance of process equipment through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement at the Pencoed manufacturing site.
You'll be responsible for maintaining equipment records in the SAP database, ensuring all interventions and root cause analyses are thoroughly documented to prevent recurring issues. The position requires analysing production data and collaborating with departmental heads to identify and implement improvement opportunities, ultimately helping the value stream achieve its operational targets. Finally, you will support various initiatives, including HSE and 5S, and provide overtime support as needed to resolve equipment issues while adhering to all relevant compliance regulations.
