Van Metre is hiring Maintenance Technicians for three apartment communities in the Raleigh area. Each role is assigned to one specific community. These are not floating positions.

Additional Earnings Available at All Locations:
Renewal commissions, resident survey bonuses, and annual bonus potential up to $5,000 (paid in quarterly installments).


About the Role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting the overall upkeep of the community. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Complete service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine property inspections
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general building systems
  • Prepare apartment homes for new residents, including turns and make-readies
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized maintenance areas
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address after-hours emergencies

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of maintenance experience or relevant training
  • Universal CFC Certification preferred
  • CPO Certification preferred
  • Strong understanding of appliance, electrical, and plumbing repair
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC and electrical circuitry
  • Current knowledge of OSHA, building, and safety standards
  • Ability to provide their own basic tools and demonstrate safe tool usage
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Weekend availability required
