Commons at Chantry (Columbus, OH) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to support our Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) properties. Due to higher unit turnover complexity and repair needs, this role focuses on advanced-level maintenance to reduce contractor dependency and improve turnaround time.
What You’ll Do
Complete unit turns with minimal contractor support in PSH properties
Perform advanced carpentry, drywall repair, plumbing, and electrical work
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems
Handle preventive maintenance and general repairs across units and common areas
Maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance with all codes
Support inventory tracking and maintenance documentation
What We’re Looking For
5 years residential or apartment maintenance experience
Strong skills in carpentry, drywall, electrical, and plumbing (advanced level required)
HVAC experience preferred
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues independently
High school diploma or GED required (technical training a plus)
Valid driver’s license required
Additional Requirements
On-call rotation required (24/7 including evenings, weekends, holidays)
$60/month mobile phone allowance provided
