Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

- The Maintenance Technician is responsible for operation of utility systems and facilities to meet the requirement of production and business activities.

- This role is also responsible for maintaining facilities, utility system, process equipment to ensure the reliable and compliant performance of equipment, utilities, and facilities according to original design and ensuring all systems function complied within GMP, safety, and environmental standards.

- The Technician must respond quickly to issues to minimize downtime.

- The position also supports for capital investment projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and readiness for audits and inspections.

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES:

- Operation, maintenance and development for the utilities system and facility, e.g: electric power distributions, city water supplying, R.O water, HVAC, dust extraction, compressed air, and building, etc.…

- Maintenance and development for process equipment at the site (excepted: laboratory equipment), e.g: sieving machine, mixer, packaging machine, forklift and warehousing equipment, etc.…

- Perform calibration and qualification for instruments and equipment.

- Supervising out-side service provider when work at the site.

- Make suggestions and implement improvement and participate in the continuous improvement process at Site.

- Keep all equipment and machineries in good condition.

- Review and update Preventive Maintenance plan related, if any, to be compatible with the current condition of the equipment and machinery, so that unscheduled repairs are minimized and work in order.

- Establish/ Make sure the SOPs/ WIs required are available and valid and trained to related person.

- Work in addition to factory timing when necessary e.g. overtime/shift work/assigned work to other team.

- Report the status of work during working time and any incident arises to Engineering Management Team

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES:

Professional Competencies Required

-       Strong technical expertise in electrical, and automation systems in GMP environments.

-       Proficient use of maintenance management software (e.g. SAP_PM - Plant Maintenance Module) to perform maintenance works

-       Familiarity with cleanroom environments, environmental monitoring systems (EMS/BAS), and pharmaceutical process equipment.

-       Familiarity with local regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP-WHO, ISO) is an advantage.

-       Strong troubleshooting skills and understanding of root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, FMEA, Fishbone).

-       Ability to understand technical documents in English and write reports in English.

Desired Experience/Education

-       Graduated from Automation/ Electrical College is at least.

-       Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in maintenance within a GMP pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environment.

- Have a general knowledge of how to maintain all systems on factory site.
