Maintenance Technician – Greenfield, Indiana 

Standard schedule is Monday through Friday 3:30pm – 12:00am. Overtime during the week is typically 2:30pm – 1:00am and Saturdays when needed. Schedules are subject to change based on business need.

Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing intermediate level maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This role supports production goals by minimizing downtime, maintaining equipment performance, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform intermediate maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems independently; assist with more technical tasks under supervision.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic and measuring instruments (e.g., multimeters, calipers, micrometers).
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Assist with root cause analysis of equipment failures and prepare maintenance reports/documentation for audits.
  • Safely and effectively use hand and power tools for maintenance activities.
  • Support production equipment and facility maintenance as directed.
  • Accurately complete maintenance logs and work orders using CMMS software or other tracking systems.
  • Report equipment issues, safety hazards, and maintenance needs to leaders.
  • Adhere to safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures, PPE usage, and OSHA regulations; maintain awareness and report safety hazards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace; collaborate and communicate effectively with team members; cross-train in other areas
  •  Adapt to new processes or technologies and work overtime as needed to meet maintenance goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed:

 Required:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year in industrial maintenance or related field.
  • Developing technical knowledge with machines, tools, equipment, and facility maintenance.
  • Developing technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems; experience with CNC equipment, presses, cranes, lasers, and PLC basics.
  • Knowledge of maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
  • Computer literacy.

Preferred:

  • Journeyman certification or Associate degree in related field.
  • Basic welding and HVAC knowledge.
  • Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with chemicals.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to handle parts and tools with precision.
  • Perform repetitive motions (bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands).
  • Use of ladders and scissor lifts to perform tasks.
  • Standing Duration: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
  • Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
  • Perform repetitive motions (bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands).
  • Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.
