The Maintenance Tech 1 delivers hands-on technical support for equipment, machinery, tools, furniture, modular offices, and facility systems in low-impact, non-critical environments. This role ensures smooth daily operations by performing preventive maintenance and executing timely corrective repairs with basic troubleshooting expertise.

Focused on reliability and customer satisfaction, the Maintenance Tech 1 optimizes costs and resources while maintaining a safe and efficient workspace. Key responsibilities include monitoring conveyor systems, serving as the first line of defense for tape machines and box machines, clearing jams, supporting the hospital lane, and acting as a vital liaison between operations and maintenance to keep production moving seamlessly.

What You Will Do 

  • Preventive Maintenance:
    • Execute preventive maintenance tasks on basic, low-criticality equipment.
    • Proactively identify issues, provide clear feedback to the supervisor, and recommend improvements to strengthen equipment reliability and optimize the preventive maintenance strategy.
  • Corrective Maintenance:
    • Diagnose and repair reported equipment issues quickly and effectively to restore optimal working conditions.
    • Communicate findings and recurring concerns to the supervisor and collaborate with senior technicians when troubleshooting complex or repeat problems.
  • Maintenance Work Requests:
    • Respond promptly to maintenance requests by partnering with customers to understand needs and deliver timely, high-quality solutions.
    • Track required materials, spare parts, and supplies to ensure efficient execution and minimize downtime.
  • Special Projects:
    • Support equipment installations, upgrades, layout changes, refurbishments, and other improvement initiatives, contributing to successful project execution and continuous operational enhancement.

What You Will Bring 

  • Education: Highschool diploma or GED required.  
  • Experience: 1-2 years in maintenance role.  
  • Knowledge: Basic electrical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools preferred.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation: The expected base pay range for this role is $22 - $27 an hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
