Who we are? 

Integrated Maintenance, Repair & Development Services (IMRDS) Alliance – Part of the Anglian Water network, focuses on infrastructure maintenance work and is responsible for: water network pressure management, asset performance, planned and reactive maintenance, leakage reduction and supporting resilient water supply across the region. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Water Networks within IMRDS as a Maintenance Support Manager. 

The Maintenance Support Manager plays a key role in supporting the Maintenance Manager by driving operational excellence across the treated water network. The role provides leadership to a team of Assistance network technicians, ensuring the effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance while maintaining a calm and stable network. You’ll play a vital part in improving asset performance, reducing operating costs, leakage and interruptions to supply, while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality and customer service. 

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager,youlldeliver operational business processes and build strong working relationships within Water Networks and across other business units, contractors and suppliers to ensure maintenance activities are efficiently planned, delivered and recorded. 

Thisrole is a mix of field engagement and office based working.   

What does it take to be a Maintenance Support Manager? 

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Assistant Network Technicians and assist with the Maintenance Delivery Technicians 
• Own and deliver the area maintenance plan, ensuring work is prioritised, planned and completed effectively 
• Review maintenance reports and ensure accurate data capture in systems 
• Support maintenance planning and scheduling alongside the Maintenance Manager 
• Oversee equipment, materials and van stock, ensuring availability, calibration and compliance 
• Support maintenance activities including impact planning and traffic management requirements 
• Liaise with Network teams, contractors and other workstreams to minimise customer and network impact 
• Promote asset enhancements and efficiency improvements within the maintenance workstream 
• Champion health, safety and environmental compliance including POWRA, lone working and vehicle checks 
• Ensure hygiene compliance and high standards of professionalism in all field operations 
• Own the customer experience by resolving queries and supporting high VSAT and CMeX performance 
• Track and report on key performance metrics including I2S, abort rates, hygiene audits and safety compliance 
• Carry out regular active management of the field team

• Strong knowledge of water network operations 
• Proven experience leading and managing operational or maintenance teams 
• IT literate with confidence using operational and performance management systems 
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels

• Strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental responsibility 
• Take ownership of issues and drive them through to resolution
