🧭 About the Role
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our equipment and systems run safely, efficiently, and reliably. You’ll lead a skilled team of maintenance professionals, oversee preventive maintenance programs, and champion continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about safety, collaboration, and operational excellence.
🔧 What You’ll Do
Maintenance & Operations
Ensure all machinery and systems are maintained in line with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Plan, schedule, and assign preventive maintenance tasks using MES (Hydra) software.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues; escalate complex problems when needed.
Support equipment start-up and commissioning activities.
Maintain accurate documentation for all equipment and maintenance activities.
Monitor and improve equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership
Supervise, coach, and support a team of Maintenance Mechanics.
Lead onboarding and training for new team members.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, safety, and collaboration.
Contribute to employee development, succession planning, and retention strategies.
Safety & Compliance
Promote and uphold health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
Issue Hot Work Permits and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Conduct and document incident investigations and participate in safety audits.
Monitor PPE usage and conduct regular safety observations.
Collaborate with the HSE team on contractor management and risk assessments.
Maintain 5S standards and support cross-shift communication and cooperation.
🧩 What You Bring
Education & Certifications
College diploma or university degree (or equivalent experience).
Valid Electrician License and Millwright Certification (or equivalent).
Training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or ISO 9001 is a plus.
Experience & Skills
5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (PVC or plastics preferred).
Proficiency with Central Maintenance Management Systems and MES (Hydra).
Strong knowledge of industrial electricity, PLCs, motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and process instrumentation.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and inventory control systems.
Experience with Lean initiatives and ISO 9001 compliance is an asset.
