What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient quarry operations.

  • Oversee equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime.

  • Implement preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with operations and safety teams to maintain compliance with standards.

  • Manage maintenance resources, including parts inventory and contractor support.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years in maintenance or at least 3 years in a supervisory role within a related industry.

  • Strong leadership abilities with clear, concise, and respectful communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain composure and professionally present information, responding effectively to questions.

  • Motivation and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment with fluctuating shift schedules, extensive movement across the plant, and occasional lifting of heavy objects and working in confined spaces.

Work Environment
This role is based in a quarry setting with exposure to outdoor elements, heavy machinery, and varying weather conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Physical Demands of the Job

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and navigate uneven terrain.

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing on equipment or structures.

  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed for maintenance tasks.

  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when required.

  • Regular use of hand tools and power tools for equipment repairs and adjustments.
