JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates the safe daily maintenance activities with operations, engineering and contractor following the daily schedules. The Mechanic Supervisor assigns predictive, preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the works are accomplished in a safe, efficient and effective manner and according to the agreed methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate internal teams, contractors, and external vendors to ensure proper job preparation, clear work instructions, and timely execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct field checks to verify work quality, Evonik employee and contractor safety performance, perform final acceptance inspections and request revisions when needed.
  • Utilize all SAP-related maintenance processes, including work orders, activity updates, and documentation.
  • Ensure accurate preparation, return, refurbishment, and tracking of parts in collaboration with storeroom, and verify contractor billing for compliance before approval.
  • Evaluate maintenance work packages, job plans, and completed service reports, providing feedback to planners documenting process improvements for continuous enhancement.
  • Lead and participate in cross‑discipline coordination and provide technical expertise and training to contractors.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related mechanic maintenance field is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience as an mechanic supervisor or 5 to 10 years of experience in maintenance field as technician or planner.
  • Familiarity with relevant state and federal codes and safety requirements related to said work.
  • Hands-on experience in maintenance field and know-how in precision plant maintenance process and equipment covering rotating equipment, shaft seals, pumps, API codes etc.

Summary Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. (Specific rate to be determined, but not limited to, geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).

Pay Range: $72,700-$121,200
