Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team, providing guidance, training, and coaching.
- Schedule and assign work orders and PMs, ensuring timely completion and adherence to maintenance schedules.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repair work on key equipment and systems as needed.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Production and other departments to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability.
- Maintain accurate records, including work orders, equipment history, and spare-parts inventories.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source necessary parts and services.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Develop and implement procedures, standards, and best practices to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend modifications or upgrades to enhance productivity and quality.
- Lead and maintain the 5S program for the maintenance department to sustain organization, cleanliness, and visual management.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns as needed and provide escalation/incident leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a light assembly/fabrication environment and with exposure to advanced systems.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity preferred.
- Technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems; PLC troubleshooting preferred.
- Experience with CMMS systems.
- Proficiency reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with root-cause analysis (5Y, DMAIC).
- Strong organizational, time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate computer skills, including email and standard software interfaces.
Working Conditions
- Industrial plant environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
