POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marine Maintenance Specialist provides advanced technical leadership for marine asset maintenance, including major projects, turnarounds, and complex equipment troubleshooting. This role partners with operations, EH&S, and vendors to improve reliability, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement through standardized procedures, data‑driven maintenance strategies, and technician development.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leads the planning, coordination, and execution of major maintenance projects and turnaround activities, including developing scopes, schedules, resource plans, and managing risks to ensure alignment with operational goals and timely completion.
• Provides advanced technical support and field leadership during equipment breakdowns, emergency responses, and complex troubleshooting. Guides technicians on equipment inspection, repair, replacement, and testing; oversee major maintenance and repair activities.
• Collaborates with maintenance teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, and cost efficiency. Analyzes data to drive improvements, support preventive maintenance, and lead root cause analyses (RCA/FMEA).
• Authors and maintains maintenance procedures, service bulletins, and technical policies. Leads audits, procedure reviews, and documentation efforts to ensure compliance, accessibility, and alignment with current best practices.
• Defines equipment specifications, reviews project designs, evaluates vendor bids, and maintains strong OEM/vendor relationships. Monitors product changes and develops strategies to reduce downtime and optimize lifecycle performance.
• Identifies, documents, and standardizes key maintenance processes across teams and regions. Develops and delivers training programs and materials, facilitates knowledge sharing, and supports technician onboarding, certification, and skill development.
• Aligns local maintenance execution with broader organizational goals, provides mentorship to technicians and supervisors, tracks KPIs, and supports the adoption of digital tools and new technologies to enhance maintenance performance.
• Partners with EH&S teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and emissions standards. Supports incident investigations with technical insights and promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of relevant industry experience required.
• Two (2) years of experience in a maintenance craft preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
